Baron's Brain: You Can't Handle The Truth

Secretary of State-designate Condoleezza Rice responds to questions during the second day of her confirmation hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005. (AP Photo/Dennis Cook)

"Senator Boxer, I have never lost respect for the truth. And believe me, when I tell you I've seen it, I have. And I'm telling you, it's this big."

Secretary of State nominee Condaleezza Rice is referring to:

a) President Bush's IQ
b) President Bush's attention span
c) The real reason we invaded Iraq
d) All of the above

Good shot.

Adding to that, I would say that Senator Boxer could have said that it was evident to everyone that Dr. Rice not only knows (knew) the truth, she has (had) respect for the truth, and nobody could impugn her high regard for the truth. It's the fact that she does know the whole truth but with her outstanding verbal skills and abilities, she does not "put out" the truth but instead plays ad infinitum with the truth that makes us so sad. Sometimes we just have to shake our heads when we see how some people misuse their brilliance and intelligence.

A rare moment of GOP candor, Condi was referring to her first boyfriend's well....uh, equipment.

Or maybe the president's. Could the "package" we saw during the "Mission Accomplished" aircraft carrier landing have been an optical illusion, created by stuffing the crotch of his flight suit with socks?

Seriously, taters, I don't know what I think about your impugning of Condi's relationship to the truth. I think she is just being brutally honest here about the size of the Presidential Hose. If she were a liar, she'd be holding her hands much farther apart.

LOL!! Hilarious, fullofbeans. Did you ever see the pic of Colin Powell holding his arms outstretched ( in fairness, he could be telling a fishing story, about the "monster bass" that got away) Thanks for the laugh!
