We May Be Crazy . . .

. . . but we're not stupid. The Associated Press has published a new Pew poll which finds that only three in 10 Americans approve of Bush's handling of Social Security. The poll also finds that while Bush has been on the road trying to push his plan, he has actually lost support. It seems that every time Bush opens his yap most listeners are left scratching and shaking their heads.

The Peach's concern with all of this is how the Bush people will yet again resort to their misinformation machine to promote their fiction. They strum up support for their projects by concocting some unrelated, bizarre relationship between a group's opposition and some other irrelevant issue. Case in point, one only need look at the smear campaign led by the loonies at USA Next against the AARP.

What The Peach suggests is that our readers encourage others to not fall under the hypnotic stupor that other Bush supporters seem to be under. They don't promote their agenda by telling the truth. Instead, they bombard us with lies for the sole purpose of making their mentally challenged leader look successful. Americans must remain informed and ask the SCLM to directly address the issues, not to constantly crumble under right-wing pressure and turn into a soundboard for the Bushies' infantile attacks.
