Don't Want MTV

If there ever needed to be a reason to boycott MTV, The Peach feels now is as good a time as any. The industrial band Nine-Inch-Nails (a favorite of The Peach) has refused to perform during MTV's Movie Awards because the network was uncomfortable with the band's use of an image of "Little Boots" Bush as a backdrop during their performance of the song "The Hand That Feeds."

The song is critical of the war in Iraq and questions whether the rationale for the war is based on some bizarre religious quest. MTV felt that the band's performance would have made too much of a "partisan political statement."

In response, Trent Reznor posted on the NIN website that "Apparently, the image of our president is as offensive to MTV as it is to me." The Peach would like to add that MTV's promotion of such partisan, brainless, bimbettes like Jessica Simpson is similarly offensive. The Peach feels when the youth of America are in need of an education as to what is going on in the world, MTV would rather focus on T & A.
