What's The Rush?

After cutting a whopping two days from his month long vacation, Bush is now scheduled to tour the disaster area in New Orleans on Friday. Reminiscent of his delayed response to the 9/11 attacks, Bush's visit comes a full five days after Katrina struck.

When asked why Bush is taking so long, press puppy Scott McClellan responded that Bush did not want to be "disruptive of efforts going on on the ground." Say what?! The Peach would like to know what efforts ol' Scotty is talking about.

Finally, when asked if he had a sense of how many deaths would be attributed to the disaster, Bush responded in his usual brilliant fashion by saying, "It's going to be a lot."

Gee, really? Could he tell that by looking out the window of Air Force One on his way back to his vacation in Texas?
